Curriculum

"Our task, regarding creativity, is to help children climb their own mountains, as high as possible. No one can do more "
Loris Malaguzzi

Our curriculum promotes the expression of learning in multiple languages. It challenges children to engage in learning for understanding. We understand that children deserve to be respected as individuals who are capable of directing their teachers in environments that encourage relationships. The daily program is flexible and follows the child's direction.

"A child's greatest achievements are possible in play, achievements that tomorrow will become his basic level of real action and morality."
Lev Vygotsky

The expressive arts enable us to understand and communicate our beliefs and ideas. Creative thought is encouraged through the relationship building, manipulation of materials and cultural symbols. Play is a vital tool that fosters the development of children's cognitive and social skills as they experiment with different theories in order to understand relationships in the world.

"We need to define the role of the adult, not as a transmitter but as a creator of relationship, not only between people but also between things, between thoughts, with environment"
Loris Malaguzzi

The family is an active participant in the learning process. The child is supported through various school-initiated activities with parent involvement. Parents are encouraged to be a part of children's creative process.
